Dominica Records Decline in Cervical Cancer Cases, Says Gynecologist

Dominica has seen a reduction in reported cases of cervical cancer, according to Consultant Gynecologist Dr. Curvin Ferreira.

Dr. Ferreira attributes the decline to various healthcare measures introduced by the Government of Dominica aimed at improving women’s health and cancer prevention.

Despite the positive trend in cervical cancer, Dr. Ferreira cautioned that other health concerns affecting women are becoming increasingly prevalent and require greater attention.

The gynecologist made the remarks during an appearance on the Creole Heartbeat programme, hosted by Leroy Wadix Charles on DBS Radio last week.
