Dominica State College receives infrastructural enhancements through donation by theNAO for the EDF

The Office of the National Authorizing Officer of the European Development Fund (EDF) successfully assisted the Dominica State College in the timely enhancement of recreational space for students. The project saw the construction of a gazebo in

the lower campus of the college, the installation of seven-solar powered lights and the repair of a significant portion of the perimeter fence at the back of the campus.

In addition to creating a new recreational space for DSC’s students, the project significantly strengthens safety and security measures for both students and staff with the lighting of the lower campus yard and fencing restoration. For the college, the absence of lower campus lighting and a fully fenced perimeter have been long-standing issues which arose after the damaging impact of Hurricane Maria.

This initiative forms part of a broader partnership between the NAO and DSC aimed at enhancing infrastructure and creating a safer, more conducive learning environment on campus.

The introduction of solar lighting also reflects a commitment to sustainable and energy-efficient solutions.

The Dominica State College continues to benefit from strategic collaborations that support its mission of delivering quality education within a secure and modernized campus setting.
