Flagship Tourism Awareness Program event to promote healthy living through free wellness services, expert-led sessions and interactive activities
– The Ministry of Tourism and Discover Dominica Authority (DDA) will host its first Wellness Fair on Saturday, July 4, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at the UWI Global Campus under the theme "Be Well in Nature." As the flagship event of the 2026 Tourism Awareness Program, the fair will bring together wellness professionals, wellness businesses, service providers and community organizations for a day of free wellness services, education and interactive activities.
The Wellness Fair forms part of the 2026 Tourism Awareness Program, which is being observed under the theme "Wellness by Nature." As the Program's flagship public event, the fair highlights the many ways wellness can be incorporated into everyday life through healthy habits, preventive care, physical activity, nutrition and meaningful connections with nature. Wellness continues to be one of the fastest-growing segments of global travel and Dominica is increasingly recognized for its nature-based wellness experiences. The fair also supports Dominica's positioning as a wellness destination by showcasing local practitioners, services and experiences that contribute to the island's wellness tourism product while encouraging healthier lifestyles among residents.
A key feature of the event will be a range of complimentary wellness offerings, including health screenings, wellness consultations, fitness demonstrations, cardio jam sessions, yoga sessions and educational exhibits. Participants will also have the opportunity to engage directly with wellness practitioners and experts while learning about products, services and resources available within Dominica's wellness sector.
The fair will also feature a series of information sessions led by local professionals and specialists. Topics will include nutrition, stress management, mindfulness, disease prevention, physical fitness, personal development, emotional well-being and other aspects of holistic health. These sessions are designed to provide participants with practical information and strategies that can be applied in their everyday lives. Persons wishing to secure a place in the wellness information sessions are encouraged to register in advance using the following link: https://forms.gle/RcWAuJ1aJB6T5HvV8
Attendees will also have the opportunity to enter prize draws for round-trip airfare on FRS Express des Îles and Sunrise Airways, courtesy of the DDA. Additional prizes will include tickets to the 2026 World Creole Music Festival, offering winners the opportunity to experience one of Dominica's premier cultural events.
Marva Williams, Chief Executive Officer and Director of Tourism at the Discover Dominica Authority, said the Wellness Fair reflects the shared commitment of the Ministry of Tourism and DDA to promoting wellness and encouraging healthier lifestyles.
"Wellness is one of the defining experiences that sets Dominica apart. Through Wellness Fair 2026, we are creating an opportunity for residents and visitors to connect with local wellness professionals, learn practical ways to improve their well-being and experience the many ways wellness is naturally woven into life on the Nature Island. We encourage everyone to join us on July 4 at the UWI Global Campus and take advantage of the free services, information sessions and activities available throughout the day."
Admission to Wellness Fair 2026 is free and open to the public. Residents and visitors are encouraged to attend, participate in the free wellness activities, engage with local experts and take advantage of the services, information sessions and prize opportunities available throughout the day.
