The National Bank of Dominica Ltd. (NBD) proudly celebrates the successful completion of its inaugural Growth and Impact Award, a special recognition program launched during the 2026 Graduation Season to honor students who have made meaningful contributions to their schools and communities.
Rooted in the Bank’s commitment to its Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) priorities, the Growth and Impact Award was designed to recognize graduating students who exemplify leadership, community service, environmental stewardship, and active participation in school and social organizations.
A total of 32 educational institutions across Dominica participated in the initiative, including preschools, primary schools, secondary schools, and tertiary institutions. Schools were invited to nominate one graduating student based on a transparent selection process that highlighted the individual’s positive influence and contribution beyond academic achievement.
“Through the Growth and Impact Award, we sought to recognize the young people who are actively shaping a brighter future for Dominica through service, leadership, and social responsibility,” said Michelle Joseph, Marketing Manager at NBD “These students represent the values that inspire sustainable development and strong communities, and we are honoured to celebrate their achievements.”
Award recipients received a customized plaque or trophy along with a gift certificate from Jays Ltd, which can be used to purchase school supplies as they continue their educational journey. In addition, NBD provided financial contributions to participating schools to support graduation-related expenses.
