PARLIAMENT CONVENES ON TUESDAY, SEPTEMBER 22, 2026

Parliament will convene on Tuesday, September 22, 2026 for the Second Meeting of the Fourth Session of the Eleventh Parliament.

Among the items on the Order Paper is the introduction of a Bill to amend the Banking

Act.

The House will also consider a resolution seeking approval for a credit facility from the

International Development Association (IDA) to support a Programmatic Development

Policy Credit aimed at strengthening Dominica’s fiscal and climate resilience.

An amendment to the Schedule of the Value Added Tax Act will also be presented for

consideration.

Newly elected Parliamentary Representative for the Roseau North Constituency, Ashma

McDougall will take the Oath of Allegiance when the Parliament convenes.

The administration of the Oath will formally mark Ms. McDougall’s entry into Parliament following her victory in the Roseau North by-election on September 7.
