President Sylvanie Burton To Receive Global Inspirational Leadership Award And Be Inducted Into The Global Power Women's Network

The Office of the President is proud to announce that Her Excellency Sylvanie Burton, DAH., President of the Commonwealth of Dominica, will be honoured with the Global Inspirational Leadership Award and inducted into the Global Power Women Network by the Centre for Economic and Leadership Development, during its upcoming Global Power Women’s Conference on Thursday, September 25, 2025, in New York City.

The Award and Induction recognizes President Burton’s outstanding leadership,

unwavering commitment to advancing gender equality and visionary role in shaping

policies which empower communities and inspire global progress. Her dedication to

reimagining leadership and fostering inclusive prosperity aligns with the Conference

theme: “The Power Shift: Women Reimagining Leadership, Legacy and Global

Prosperity”.

In receiving this Award, President Burton joins a distinguished circle of leaders who

exemplify courage, resilience and transformative influence on the world stage. Her

recognition is a testament to her personal achievements and the broader movement

The presentation and induction will take place immediately after the delivery of her

Keynote Address at the said Conference, in the presence of global leaders, change

makers and trailblazers.
