Prime Minister Roosevelt Skerrit plans to unveil key aspects of the proposed new electoral laws to the Dominican public in the upcoming weeks.

During a Monday appearance on a Radio Show, Prime Minister Skerrit provided an update on the progress of electoral reform.

He mentioned that, in the approaching weeks, the government intends to share with the Dominican people the essential elements for the initial phase of electoral reform and modernization.

Emphasizing that support for the proposed components should not be an issue if the public is committed to electoral reform, Mr. Skerrit expressed optimism about introducing legislation to Parliament and passing it before this year's Budget Address.

This move would entrust the implementation of the reformed laws and regulations to the electoral commission.
