The Small Business Support Unit is set to enhance its annual Creole Attire and Accessories Exhibition & Sales in 2026, introducing an exciting mix of shopping, culture, entertainment and promotional activities aimed at increasing visibility, market opportunities and sales for local entrepreneurs.

The exhibition will be held on Friday, September 25, Friday, October 2 and Friday, October 9, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on the Ground Floor of the Government Headquarters.

Approximately 30 registered micro and small enterprises, designers and artisans are expected to participate, showcasing an impressive range of traditional and contemporary Creole attire, headpieces, jewelry, handbags, clutches, belts, footwear, locally made craft and cultural ornaments.

More than a seasonal shopping event, the exhibition provides an important marketplace for local entrepreneurs to generate sales, strengthen brand visibility and connect with new customers, while celebrating Dominica’s rich Creole heritage and encouraging the public to buy local and support Dominican businesses.

An Enhanced Experience for 2026

This year, the Small Business Support Unit is adding several features designed to create a more engaging experience and drive greater foot traffic to participating businesses.

Among the highlights will be Live Vendor Spotlights, giving entrepreneurs an opportunity to showcase signature products, promote their brands and share their business journeys through engagements with local media personalities, radio and television presenters and social media influencers.

Patrons can also look forward to a Shop & Win Promotion, where qualifying purchases from participating vendors will provide opportunities to enter a grand prize draw on the final exhibition day, Friday, October 9, 2026.

The shopping experience will be complemented by cultural entertainment, including Jing Ping, folk performances, drumming and DJ music, creating a lively atmosphere that reflects the spirit of Dominica’s Creole season.

A dedicated Creole Food Area will add another flavour to the experience, offering Creole breakfast, Creole lunch, local confectionery and refreshments.

Through the exhibition, the Small Business Support Unit continues to create meaningful opportunities for micro and small enterprises to increase sales, expand their market reach and showcase the creativity and commercial potential of locally made products, while contributing to the preservation and promotion of

Dominica’s cultural identity.

The Unit invites the general public, businesses, government employees, boutiques and retailers, fashion enthusiasts and visitors to come out, discover locally made products and support the entrepreneurs behind them.

Mark the dates — September 25, October 2 and October 9 — and experience three Fridays celebrating Creole fashion, food, culture and entrepreneurship.

Shop Local. Wear Local. Support Local.
