DAIC's Networking & Nibbles Brings Dominica's BusinessCommunity Together

The Dominica Association of Industry and Commerce (DAIC) hosted a highly successful

Networking & Nibbles evening, bringing together businesses from across Dominica for an engaging evening of networking, collaboration and meaningful conversation.

The event marked an important milestone for the Chamber as the first major member

engagement event hosted under the leadership of newly elected President Olive Strachan MBE and the new Board of Directors. Members and invited guests had the opportunity to meet the Board, learn more about its vision for the Chamber, and build valuable business relationships in a relaxed and interactive environment.

The DAIC extends its sincere appreciation to Fort Young Hotel and Archipelago Trading

Ltd for their generous support, which played an important role in making the event possible.

Speaking during the evening, DAIC President Olive Strachan MBE reaffirmed the

Chamber's commitment to creating greater value for members by strengthening connections within the private sector and providing practical opportunities for business growth.

Supporting Business Growth

During the evening, members were introduced to several exciting initiatives and strategic partnerships designed to create new opportunities for businesses.

An update was provided on the KARULINK Project, an Interreg Caribbean-funded regional initiative in which the DAIC is a partner. Members learned about the project's objectives, progress to date, and its potential to create opportunities for businesses in Dominica and across the wider Caribbean.

Members also received an introduction to the Chamber's partnership with the OECS Finance Readiness Programme, which will help businesses strengthen their financial management capabilities, better understand financing requirements, and improve their readiness to access funding for sustainable growth.

In addition, the Chamber announced an upcoming collaboration with Digicel Dominica

focusing on Digital Transformation and Cyber Security. Guests enjoyed a preview of the

programme from Loren Challenger, Corporate Account Manager, highlighting the

importance of embracing digital innovation while protecting businesses against emerging cyber threats.

The Chamber also unveiled an exciting programme of upcoming activities, including:

● Eggs & Issues Breakfast Forum in September

● The Chamber's inaugural Black-Tie Gala

● The launch of the DAIC's new monthly newsletter, designed to celebrate member

success stories, share business opportunities, provide Chamber updates and strengthen

communication with members.
