Dominica announces 74-Member Contingent for 2026 Windward Islands School Games in St. Lucia

The Ministry of Culture Youth Sports and Community Development through the Sports Division, is pleased to announce Dominica’s participation in the 2026 edition of the Windward Islands School Games, a tradition that spans over 104 years.

This year’s Games will be hosted by the Government and people of St. Lucia and will run from Saturday, July 25th to Saturday, August 1st, 2026. Dominica's team is scheduled to depart Dominica on Thursday, July 23rd, 2026, and Friday, the 24th, 2026.

Dominica will  fill a 74-member contingent, comprising 62 athletes (34 boys and 28 girls) and 12 officials. Team Dominica will compete in 5 sporting disciplines and 7 competitions,  featuring:

Volleyball (Boys & Girls)

Football

Netball

Participation in the Windward Islands School Games continues to play a vital role in the holistic development of Dominica’s student-athletes, providing a platform for high-level competition, regional camaraderie and the promotion of discipline, teamwork and national pride.
