In celebrating 58 years of dedicated service, the Dominica Lions Club carried out its Annual Street Feeding initiative in the heart of Roseau, bringing comfort, care, and connection to those most in need.
This meaningful activity was made possible through the generous contributions of Oceans Forward Inc and Lion Kim Joseph, District 60B Zone 2C Chairperson from Antigua, whose contributions made it possible to offer not just meals, but care and compassion to the less fortunate and shut-ins.
More than just a feeding programme, the event became a moment of reflection and appreciation for members. The club proudly honoured two remarkable women, Ms.Hazel Edwards and Frances John, for their unwavering dedication to serving others. Their quiet but consistent acts of kindness continue to uplift lives across the community and embody the true spirit of humanitarian service.
The Anniversary celebrations concluded on a heartfelt note with a visit to the St. Alphonsus Catholic Church, where the club made a food basket contribution in support of the church’s hamper programme for the needy.
As the Dominica Lions Club reflects on 58 years of service, it remains committed to making a difference—one act of kindness at a time—while continuing to inspire hope and compassion throughout the community.
