DOMINICA’S NEXT GENERATION TAKES AIM AT 2026 CARIBBEAN AND CENTRALAMERICAN GAMES

The Dominica Olympic Committee (DOC) is pleased to announce its representation once again on the regional sporting stage with a ten (10)-member delegation comprising six (6) athletes and four (4) officials competing in Athletics, Boxing, and

Swimming at the 2026 Central American and Caribbean (CAC) Games.

Athletes:

● Seif Elshekh- Swimming (100m butterfly, 200m freestyle, 400m freestyle)

● Malk Elshekh- Swimming (100m backstroke, 100m freestyle and 50m backstroke)

● Mariah Toussaint- Athletics (Long Jump)

● Jeriah Lewis- Athletics (Long Jump)

● Ali Shillingford- Boxing (80kg)

● Darnell Cassell- Boxing (65kg)

Officials:

● Mr. Jason Robin (Swimming)

● Mr. Julian Jackson (Boxing

● Mr. Charles Joseph (Athletics)

The Dominica Olympic Committee heads into the Games with confidence in the talent,

dedication, and preparation of its athletes and officials. This delegation reflects the continued growth of Athletics, Boxing, and Swimming in Dominica, and underscores the country’s ongoing commitment to developing athletes capable of competing on the regional and international stage.

Mr. Billy Doctrove, President of the Dominica Olympic Committee, commented:

"This delegation is the youngest CAC Games team of my tenure, yet we are optimistic about their potential and believe these Games will be a defining moment in their sporting careers. For five of the six athletes, this will be their first experience at a multi-sport Games, making the opportunity especially important to their growth and development. The absence of some of our senior athletes is due to scheduling conflicts with other major competitions, including the Commonwealth Games and World Juniors. Nevertheless, we remain confident in the talent, determination, and national pride of this team, and we wish all athletes, coaches, and officials every success at the 2026 CAC Games."
