Kiwanis Nature Island Club of Dominica Inducts 13 New Members and Installs Executive for 2025/2026

The Kiwanis Nature Island Club of Dominica proudly hosted its induction and installation ceremony at the UWI Global Campus Auditorium on Saturday, June 27, 2026, marking the official induction of 13 new members and the installation of the executive for the 2025/2026 administrative year.
Officials from Martinique, including Lieutenant Governor Jean Michel Pajaniady, Incoming Lieutenant Governor for 2026-2027 Thierry Jean-Bart, and Distinguished Lieutenant Governor Didier Saint-Louis, arrived in Dominica on Saturday, June 27, 2026, to officiate at the induction of new members and the installation of the executive.
Mary Winston was installed as president for the year 2025/2026 after being elected to the position on September 30, 2025. In her remarks, she welcomed guests, sponsors, partners, and fellow Kiwanians, expressing gratitude for the confidence placed in her by the membership. She described Kiwanis as a global service Organisation committed to improving the lives of children and communities, guided by the motto, “serving the children of the world”.
During the ceremony, President Winston highlighted several service initiatives completed so far during the Kiwanis year. These included a Christmas party for the students of Goodwill Primary School on December 27, 2025, food hampers distributed to individuals and families in need, a donation to Operation Youth Quake, and support provided to a needy family in Stock Farm. She also noted the club’s assistance to Miss Teen Dominica 2026 participants through the provision of a mirror, reflecting Kiwanis’ continued commitment to youth development and community upliftment.
In her address, President Winston said, “Since assuming this role, I have witnessed firsthand the dedication, generosity, and commitment that defines our Kiwanis family”. She also stated, “These initiatives are only possible because of the generosity and dedication of our members and supporters”. She further appealed to members to keep their dues current and to assist in recruitment efforts so that the club may continue expanding its impact.
The Kiwanis Nature Island Club of Dominica extends sincere thanks to all members, partners, and supporters whose contributions continue to make meaningful service possible. The club remains committed to building stronger communities through service, fellowship, and outreach.
